The Yemen is part of the Western Asia region in the continent of Asia. The name of the Yemen is believed to have derived from the Arabic yamīn, meaning right-hand side. It is in the Northern hemisphere and is 528 thousand square kilometres in size. The primary language spoken is Arabic; the capital city is Sanaá and the main currency used is the Yemeni Rial.
