  • LGBTQIA+ travel discretion is advised. It is illegal to identify as LGBTQIA+ or engage in same-sex relationships. The country has laws whereby you could be prosecuted, and the maximum penalty might be severe. Though the authorities do not enforce the death penalty, groups of people (vigilantes) are known to torture, apply beatings, and even commit murders against members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
